Central West End, St. Louis, Missouri

Central West End is the only area of St. Louis that provides everything necessary for singles and young professionals. Located between Forest Park and Saint Louis University, this busy area provides everything a resident could want. The business sector along Euclid Avenue is a good site for shopping thanks to its variety of shops, bookstores, live music venues, and other types of establishments, and the area is a haven for foodies thanks to its wide variety of restaurants. CWE also has a lively bar and club scene, giving residents plenty of places to meet up with friends for drinks or a night on the town. St. Louis hosts a number of interesting annual events, such as the Greek Festival, The Legendary CWE Halloween, and BookFest St. Louis, all of which are worth attending. You’ll see that these are just a sampling. Obviously, the Central West End requires some maintenance. This area is great for students and persons looking for professions in the medical industry because it is home to the Washington University School of Medicine, the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and BJC HealthCare. On top of all that, it’s just off of Interstate 64, making a trip to the heart of St. Louis a breeze.

There is a lot to indulge in while at the Central West End Neighborhood. For instance, you can join the book club at Left Bank Books to talk about your favorite books. You can take your dog for a walk, check out the Saint Louis Art Museum, or check out the Saint Louis Zoo all in the same day if you head to Forest Park. St. Louis Microfest takes place every spring, and features beer samples from over 125 breweries from throughout the world and the United States.  How about you Play a game of chess on the patio of the World Chess Hall of Fame and test your wits against the locals.?

 During the Sunday Swing Jazz Brunch at Evangeline’s Bistro and Music House, diners can sample dishes like the Bananas Foster Stuffed French Toast and drinks from Dr. Bob’s Bloody Mary Bar to the sounds of live music. Dressel’s Public House is known for its Truffled Grilled Cheese and Brisket Chili. Brasserie by Niche is a top-notch St. Louis eatery serving up dishes like Steak Tartare and Pan Roasted Trout. Relax at the end of the day at Retreat Gastropub with some pals, some Candied Bacon, and a 4 Hands Incarnation IPA. Alternatively, you can try out some of the bar’s creative cocktails, such as the Tully Sour and Blood & Sand.
