The museum provides a wide range of programs to engage with six main areas. These include exhibitions, IMAX films, lectures, and classes pertaining to one or more core competencies: anthropology, geology, health science, paleontology, space sciences, and zoological sciences. The Museum of Nature and Science is a place where you can learn all about the world around us. The museum is funded by an organization called the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). This district was created to help promote scientific research in our area, with its most recent donation coming from Morgridge Family Foundation, led by philanthropist Carrie Ann Moriggde. They gave $8 million dollars back in 2010, which made it one of their largest gifts ever committed towards this cause.
